Once you have submitted a concept and a history to the appropriate staff members, you will be given an allotment of Freebie points. This will be based in part on what is in your history (more detail equals more Freebies). I have a chart for this, so it's not favoritism. I'm simply not releasing the chart to make for an organic character creation process free of attempts to min-max or stat fluff.
**A WORD OF CAUTION** Making your character ancient to get more Freebies is NOT recommended. Old characters will require a more detailed history to be accepted, and will have lowered Humanity scores at the outset. In addition, older characters could end up with A LOT of derangements or other flaws (as determined by staff), and at certain levels, this may make them unplayable. Be very careful before considering running an impossibly old character.
And without further ado, here are your dot distributions:
Attributes 8/6/4 (5 Freebies per dot, 7 Freebies for 6th dot)
Abilities 15/10/7 (2 Freebies per dot, 4 Freebies for 6th dot)
Backgrounds 5 (1 Freebie per dot) (CAPPED AT 5)
Willpower [Courage, or by Tribe] (1 Freebies per dot)
Vampires: Disciplines 4 (4 Freebies per dot, 7 Freebies per level 6 discipline; Secondary blood magic paths are a straight 3 freebies per dot; extra rituals are 1 freebie per level of the ritual)
Humanity [Conscience+Self Control] (2 Freebies per dot)
Virtues 7 (2 Freebies per dot) (CAPPED AT 5)
Werewolves: Gift Tree - You will start with one gifts equal to your rank, two gifts of the next lower rank, three of the rank two lower than your current rank, etc. (4 Freebies per gift)
Rage: [By Auspice] (1 Freebie per dot)
Gnosis:[By Breed] (2 Freebies per dot)
Changes from the Book:
The generation background will start at 12th generation instead of 13th. This will put in place a generation cap of 7th generation, as Backgrounds will not be able to be raised above 5.
Camarilla characters may start on a Path, but will require a good reason for doing so. Sabbat may start with Humanity. If you choose a Path, be sure you know how to play it right, or I will spontaneously degen you and put you back on the Path of Humanity.
Gift Tree - In order to learn a rank 2 gift, the character must know two rank 1 gifts. In order to learn her third rank 3 gift, the character must know 4 rank 2 gifts and 5 rank 1 gifts. This pyramid structure must be maintained throughout the character's existence.
